General Information and Instructions

Application:

Apply sparingly on clean skin once or twice daily as needed, to maintain it’s new appearance. Although very unlikely, if any allergic reaction should occur over a period of time, as for example, a reddening of the skin, then stop application immediately and after the allergic reaction has subsided, continue application at a lesser rate of once every 2 or 3 days. If any allergic reaction still persists, then discontinue using.

There are over 200 different types of cells in the human body (eg skin, neural, hair, liver, heart etc. etc.) and they are not distinguished by their genetic DNA sequences. The DNA sequences in the human body are divided into approximately 35,000 genes each of which potentially are coded for a specific biological characteristic of the person. However in any given cell, only about 1/3 of the genes are active and the rest are silent (1). An adult human has trillions of specialised cells governed by millions of different chemical reactions. Cell identity and function is determined by which genes are active and which are silent (2).

This on-off gene expression is the cells epigenetic state and is determined by epigenetic influencing or signalling factors.

The stem cell epigenetic factors in Bellagio Organic Skin Rejuvenating Cream have been shown to beneficially influence human stem cells.

Stem cells are thought to reside in a specific area of each tissue where they may remain quiescent (non dividing) for many years until they are activated by disease or tissue injury. Adult Skin Stem cells are very specialised and typically differentiate or generate the cell types of the tissue in which they reside (3). These Stem Cells maintain and repair the skin. The plant stem cells are totipotent in that they can regenerate new parts or even the whole plant and it is the epigenetic factors extracted from the plant stem cells that are thought to convey the advantages to human stem cells in the skin. This has been proven by 'in vitro' and 'in vivo' testing.

The plant stem cell epigenetic factors incorporated in Bellagio Organic Stem Cell Rejuvenating Cream have a protective effect on skin stem cells therefore enabling them to maintain a normal functioning state.
